10 Things Always in My Disney Parks Bag

Updated: Aug 29, 2022

Must have items for every trip to Disney! Don’t visit Mickey without these top items to take to Disney World or Disneyland.

Today I am going to show you guys all my must haves that I have in my park bag with me when I go to Disney World! This is everything that I need for a full day and everything that I use daily.

Everything will be linked or can be found on my Favs Page so you can complete your park day must haves bag/list!

The Bag

To start with, I love using the Lounge Fly Backpacks. I like using them because they fit easily in rides and are comfortable throughout the day. I have been in rainstorms with them, I have been to every park imaginable with them, and have had 14 hour days with these bags and I love them.

Front Pocket of the Bag

In the front pocket, I like to carry an SPF lip balm and bandaids, which I always have with me. Both are vital for me because you never know when you’ll need them and I’d rather not be without them! After all, you never know when you’ll get a blister or need to protect your lips from the sun.

Magic Band

I always start packing my park bag with my Magic Band. On my Magic Band, I usually have my Annual Passholder band and also different decorative bands and band buttons from different small shops I love. I typically wear my Magic Band. but if I'm not wearing it I have it attached to the strap of my bag.

Wallet

Then inside my main pouch, I always have my wallet and when we were there around Christmas 2018 they had the Dooney & Bourke Haunted Mansion stuff so I got the Dooney & Bourke Haunted Mansion wallet. I always take the wrist strap with me when we go to the parks.

If I am going shopping, or going into any of the bigger stores, it's so much easier to just grab my wallet out and have it on my wrist while wandering around. Then, whenever you've got your arms full of stuff at the counter, you’re not trying to dig through your backpack. I also keep the wrist strap because there are some times when we might go out to dinner and I don’t have to take a backpack.

I also recently found this card holder on the Shop Disney website, which has come in super useful for times I don’t want to take my wallet with me! It keeps my license, Annual Pass card, and other important cards ready to use.

Usually, I only take the basics, in my wallet, like my license, insurance card, a couple of credit cards, annual pass card, and then, because I have a Disney VISA, I also take the Disney rewards card.

If you haven't checked that out yet, and you go to Disney a lot - it might be worth looking into! There’s 2 different level of cards, the base and the premier. The base Disney Visa has no annual fee and gives you 1% on all purchases, which is redeemable for ‘Disney Dream Dollars’ and can be used in the parks for purchases (hello souvenir money!). The premier card is $5o per year fee and gives you 2% on Disney purchases, gas, and groceries; with 1% on everything else.

Fans

The next things that are always in my bag are my hand and neck fans. I got both from Amazon and I love them. One of the biggest things I like about the hand fan is how big the base is – it's really comfortable to hold! It has three speeds and is rechargeable with a charging cord. #ParkTip: keep the charging cord plugged in so you don’t lose it, especially if it’s the older style like this one!

The neck fan has been a game changer for our most recent trip! It’s also rechargeable and has 3 speeds. It’s light enough that I wore it all day in the parks and never noticed it.

Power Bank

Another thing I always keep in my bag is my charging power bank. This one is from Anker – I got two for $18 when Anker was having a special – one for me, one for Gregg! I love it because we charge our phones (from dead to full, twice!), we charge our fans, and we've got everything with us.

I have a little pocket on the side of my backpack that I stick the power bank in, cord attached, then I can be on my phone while we’re on the go. The other outside pocket fits my phone perfectly for when I’m on rides.

Sunglasses & Straws

I always carry my sunglass case and my sunglasses. I do always take the sunglass case with me just because if we're inside, I don't want to have to hold my sunnies and they are protected.

#ParkTip: One interesting fact to know - with the new security system, sunglass cases and umbrellas have to be held out in front of you or you will get pinged for a bag search. As you're walking through you just hold it out in front of you. The sunglass case still pings, but then they see that it's in your hand and it's not in your bag and then you don't have to go and get searched.

I don’t know about you, but I’m not a fan of the paper straws in the parks. I found these metal collapsible straws on Amazon and they are wonderful. They come with a mini straw brush so you can keep them clean. Plus, the clip on the straw case means you can clip it onto your bag and it’s easily accessible!

Ears & Umbrella

Everything fits comfortably into my bag. If I truly wanted to, at that point, I can fit a set of ears in (you just have to tuck it up under the back part). So if your ears are hurting, or if you're on a ride like Seven Dwarves (where your ears are gonna fly off if you don't take them off!) they fit into your backpack.

One additional thing that is on this list, but not always with me (only because I don’t take it every time, depending on the time of year) is a sun umbrella from Amazon. It is SPF 50, pink on top (comes in other colors), black inside, and while it doesn't eliminate any of the heat (it's Florida, it's still hot) it keeps all of the UV rays off of you. I used it when we went in August where I used the sunscreen stick on my lower legs but no sunscreen on my upper body, because I used the umbrella and it worked perfectly!
