Fall is full of international celebrations. While you may not be able to travel to each of the destinations, it would be nice to enjoy a taste of them. That’s why I’ve compiled the best cocktail for each holiday.
Try just one or try them all throughout the fall season. Just be sure to let us
know which one is your favorite. Cheers!
OKTOBERFEST- OCTOBER (GERMANY)
Oktoberfest, which originated in Munich, started on October 2, 1810, in celebration of the marriage of the Crown Prince of Bavaria to Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen. While there weren’t carnival rides like there are now, there was beer. If you’re not into Germany’s favorite beverage, or are looking for something new to tempt your tastebuds, we suggest giving the Rumplesnuggler a try.

DÍA DE LOS MUERTOS OCTOBER/NOVEMBER - (MEXICO AND THROUGHOUT
LATIN AMERICA)
The Day of the Dead is the day when the spirits of our loved ones return to visit their families. Altars are erected and adorned with items such as marigolds, sugar skulls, or even tequila to entice dearly departed relatives to stop and stay awhile. I'm pretty sure that if you make these Pomegranate Margaritas, your family, both living and dead, will be pouring in to see you! (See what I did there! LOL!)
Pomegranate Margarita
Ingredients
• 4 oz tequila
• 4 oz pomegranate juice
• 1 tbsp lime juice
• 2 tsp agave nectar
• Pinch of kosher salt plus more to salt rim if desired
Instructions
• Pour all ingredients with ice into a cocktail shaker. Shake very well to mix.
• If salting the rims of the glasses, rub a cut lime around the outer edge of the glass, pour a little salt in the palm of your hand, and roll the edge in the salt to coat. Fill glasses with ice.
• Strain mixed cocktail over the ice and serve immediately.
THANKSGIVING - NOVEMBER (UNITED STATES OF AMERICA)
Our last cocktail brings us back to the good ‘ole USA. In 1621 the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag sat together and shared the first Thanksgiving feast. I'm not sure if pecan pie was on the menu, but it is now a tradition in homes throughout America. This year, instead of eating a slice, we know you’ll enjoy the same flavors in a martini glass.
