You’re a busybody, right? Always on the go? I bet you have your calendar booked and filled with appointments, meetings, dinner dates, and the like. You believe that idle hands are the devil’s work. You think rest and relaxation lead to laziness. You probably have told your friends, “I’ll sleep when I’m dead.” Somehow though, you ended up booking a cruise vacation with your friends. Your circle is looking to do exactly what you abhor. Your friends want to lay out in the sun, sip on cocktails, and catch up on the sleep that they have been missing out on due to busy life schedules. The idea of laying idle for days on end while at sea is somewhat frightening and foreign to you.
However, we are here to tell you to have no fear! A cruise does not require you to lay idle in the middle of the ocean blue.
Here are some tips and tricks that will both occupy your time and allow you to unplug from your busy life back home:

Support the Arts
Cruises are full of performances and shows every night. Allow yourself to be visually and emotionally stimulated by talented singers, dancers, and performers. This type of activity will keep your senses sharp and engaged while also supporting the artistry of others. Be inspired by these performances and allow this to get your creative juices flowing. This way, when you re-enter your everyday life, you are rejuvenated.
Literary Endeavor
You’re busy in your day-to-day life. Most likely, the books you have wanted to read for years have collected dust on your bookshelf or nightstand. Pack one or two of these treasures so you can catch rays and keep your busy brain occupied. This will not only allow you to relax but keep you keen and sharp.
Keep the Heart Pumping
If you are a busybody in the physical sense, then remember that a gym will be present on your ship. Make sure you utilize this space so you can stay fit and physically challenged. You can sign up for classes as well. Take a yoga or Zumba class every day so you can stay in shape and keep moving. After your workouts, you can also take advantage of the spa on board. Get a massage as a reward for your daily workouts.
If the gym is not for you, remember that a cruise ship is large, and you can take long walks and explore instead of lying by the pool. Find all the beautiful views so you can take your friends there for group photos with the sea as your backdrop.

A cruise is not just a place to relax and lay idle. It is a way to see other places, ports, and different cultures up close and personal. Take the opportunity to see everything that your ship has to offer. Be one with the sea and take advantage of every experience presented to you. Let your cruise show you it’s a way you can live life to the fullest.
