Top Destinations for Your Next Wellness Vacation

Vacations focused on wellness and overall well-being are growing in popularity. You can plan a trip for the primary purpose of wellness like a spa retreat or look for ways to incorporate wellness into your trip. There are many great destinations to consider for a vacation centered around wellness.

Here are five of my favorite destinations to consider.

Maui

From relaxing sandy beaches to walking through the clouds on top of Haleakala National Park, Maui is a great destination to reconnect with nature and move your body to feel re-energized.

Lavender plant and oils

India

India is the birthplace of Ayurveda. This alternative form of medicine is based on the idea that the mind and body are connected, and you can improve healing by empowering the mind. There is also Ayurvedic cooking that promotes well-being from how you fuel your body. Visitors are welcomed and encouraged to try Ayurveda.

Coast in Greece

Crete

Did you know that the people of Crete, Greece, have some of the longest life expectancies? They enjoy nature, avoid stress, and eat well with organic food and some of the world’s best virgin olive oil.

Hands with essential oils dripping, aromatherapy

Baden-Baden

This part of western Germany is a top destination for vacationers traveling with wellness as their primary goal. There are at least ten luxury spa hotels in the area that offer yoga, aromatherapy, massages, and Roman baths.

Blue Lagoon Iceland

Iceland

One of the most famous spas, The Blue Lagoon, is located in Iceland and is easy to visit from the capital of Reykjavik. You can relax in warm mineral-rich water and spread white silica mud over your skin which is said to have healing properties.
